Embedded / Electrical Engineer
Full-time · Munich or San Francisco
The role
You own the electronics of our capture hardware: dense, mixed-signal work in a compact, battery-powered form factor that runs through a full shift in a real workplace. Mistakes show up within weeks, in the field, far from your bench.
What you'll do
- Design carrier boards for ARM compute modules.
- Route high-speed interfaces: MIPI CSI-2, USB 3.x.
- Build power delivery and battery management for swappable cells.
- Bring up boards with firmware: validate I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI.
- Diagnose signal and power integrity problems at the bench.
- Run EMC pre-scans and fix what they find.
- Support small-batch builds and design the step to the next batch.
What we look for
- You've shipped high-speed digital designs in Altium, Allegro, or KiCad.
- You debug with instruments, not guesses.
- You work comfortably at the boundary between hardware and firmware.
- You design for the person using the hardware all day, not just for the datasheet.
Nice to have
- Rigid-flex and high-density boards.
- SerDes links.
- Battery fuel gauging and power sequencing.
- Consumer electronics or camera products.
